Smart Mobility Aid Design Competition

Introduction

To encourage secondary school students to apply innovative thinking, scientific knowledge, and practical skills to address the needs of elderly persons and persons with disabilities in Macao, this competition aims to promote the design of intelligent assistive devices and technologies that enhance users’ autonomy and overall well-being. The event seeks to cultivate young people’s awareness and concern for ageing and disabled populations by integrating science, engineering, and humanistic care. It encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, fosters social responsibility among youth, and promotes the development and popularisation of gerontechnology and rehabilitation technology in Macao, contributing to the creation of an inclusive and barrier-free environment for all.

Eligibility：Students enrolled in junior secondary to senior secondary levels in Macao schools during the 2025/2026 academic year.

Competition Categories

• Junior Secondary Division: For students from Form 1 to Form 3

• Senior Secondary Division: For students from Form 4 to Form 6
