The "2025 Macao Biodiversity Data Science Challenge" aims to enhance public understanding and appreciation of the biological world through hands-on experience. By integrating scientific literacy with environmental awareness, the Challenge seeks to foster a deeper sense of responsibility for ecological conservation while promoting sustainability consciousness. The Challenge will be synchronized with the global "City Nature Challenge" (CNC) and contribute to the collection of biodiversity data in Macao region and on a global scale.

Eligibility: Students and residents of Macao are eligible to participate
Competition Categories:
1. Individual Challenge (Student Category, Open Category)
2. Team Challenge
Awards
1. Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards will be given in both the Individual and Team Challenges.
2. Teams ranked 4th to 10th in the Team Challenge may receive the Outstanding Awards.
3. Students in the Individual Challenge who successfully document over 100 species will be eligible for a special award.
4. Each species category in the Individual Challenge will feature a dedicated award.
5. The school with the highest total number of species documented in the Individual Challenge will receive an award.
