Macao Science Center recorded more than 5,900 visitors on Labor Day, 12% higher than the 5,269 visitors recorded in the same period last year. The Center continues to launch innovative science popularization exhibitions and activities, including the "Discover the Hall of Mental Cultivation" themed digital experience exhibition, the pop-up books to visit the Forbidden City and miniature models, and the POP UP Forbidden City - pop-up book game and workshop presented at Gallery 2 of the Exhibition Center and the dome show, A Starry Tale, at the Planetarium.
To support the "Discover the Hall of Mental Cultivation" themed digital experience exhibition, the Center will hold two workshops on the pop-up books to visit the Forbidden City and the creation of miniature models tomorrow (May 4) at 12:00 noon and May 5 at 3 pm in the FabLab, which will explain the architecture, culture and scientific stories of the Hall of Mental Cultivation. The number of on-site registration quotas is limited. First come, first served. At 3:00 p.m., "POP UP Forbidden City - Pop-up Book Game and Workshop" will be held at Biblioteca Sir Robert Ho Tung. Pop-up books and interesting interactive games will be leveraged to introduce the characteristics of the Hall of Mental Cultivation, and participants can make and decorate a model of the Hall of Mental Cultivation with their own hands. The above activities are suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years old.
The standard ticket price for the "Discover the Hall of Mental Cultivation" themed digital experience exhibition is MOP20. Visitors purchasing tickets must also purchase a ticket for the Exhibition Center before entry.
Macao Science Center is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Sunday regardless of public holidays. It is closed on Thursdays and Lunar New Year's Eve.
