Yesterday (14th), Cheng Hong Bo, Party Secretary and Full-time Vice-President of the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology, led a delegation of nearly 20 members to visit the Macao Science Center. They visited various permanent exhibition halls, including the Planetarium, the International Laboratory for Science Popularization of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, the Macao Laboratory of Information Technology Application and Innovation, the Stargazer Astronomy Gallery, the Data Science Gallery, and the Chinese Scientist Spirit Gallery.
The President of Macao Science Center Limited, Ms. Mok Ian Ian, first extended a welcome on behalf of MSC to the delegation of the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology, and expressed gratitude to the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology for their support to the MSC. Later, Mr. Sio Hon Pan, Board Member and Executive Committee Member of Macao Science Center Limited, introduced the architectural design features of the Center and its major honors received in recent years to the delegation. Curator Sio elaborated on the astronomical popular science education initiatives of the Science Center and provided detailed insights into the exclusive authorized popular science experimental courses offered by the Center, along with its advanced equipment. He also discussed the process of updating exhibition halls and outlined the future development direction of the Science Center.
