From July 2023, Macao Science Center officially became the test base in Macao for the national Youth Level Test organized by the Chinese Institute of Electronics.
The national Youth Level Test is a part of the national talent enhancement program. Having been proposed by the Chinese Institute of Electronics, it is administered by the popularization committee of the Chinese Institute of Electronics. The test is targeted at students aged from 8 to 18, covering programming, 3D modeling, robots, unmanned aerial vehicles, electronic technology, and other fields. With the test standards developed by the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science of Peking University, the Artificial Intelligence Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the School of Electronic Information Engineering of Beihang University, the College of Artificial Intelligence of Nankai University, the Fundamental Industry Training Center of Tsinghua University, the College of Computer Science of Chongqing University, and the School of Artificial Intelligence of Chongqing University of Technology, it is the only level test among tests of its kind in China that has been certified by the Exam Institute for Information Science (EXIN) of the European Union and enjoys the widest recognition.
