"Green Low-carbon" Science Popularization and Education Base
In recognition of Macao Science Center's endeavors in promoting environmental protection and sustainable development, Macao Science Center was presented with a plaque that represents its honor as a "green low-carbon" science popularization and education base by the Chinese Society for Urban Studies in March 2024.
A Demonstration Base for Application under the National Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology
In 2023, Macao Science Center was named a Demonstration Base for Application under the National Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, it incarnates the state's support and recognition of the Center's energy conservation, carbon reduction and environmental science education.
International Laboratory for Science Popularization of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System
Located in the lobby of Macao Science Center, the laboratory was awarded the "International Laboratory for Science Popularization of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System" by the Aerospace Science and Technology Working Committee of the China Association for Promoting International Economic & Technical Cooperation (CAPC) and the Satellite Navigation System Engineering Center of the China Academy of Aerospace Electronics Technology in September 2023. Macao Science Center has set up "Science Popularization Experimental Curriculum on BeiDou Navigation Satellite System" and has obtained the exclusive authorization to launch this course in Macao. The equipment of the laboratory includes BeiDou Navigation Teaching Kit, BeiDou Experimental Platform Software, BeiDou Communication Creative Development System, BeiDou Creative Material Package, "BeiDou + 5G" Comprehensive Training Platform, BeiDou Auto Driving Comprehensive Training Platform, BeiDou Teaching Animation Software, Satellite Science Popularization and Interactive Display System and Satellite Navigation Constellation Virtual Simulation Experimental Software, etc. Meanwhile, the laboratory is a multi-purpose scientific innovation space furnished with a number of highly intelligent, miniaturized, and safe CNC equipment, making it an important place to learn about engineering and technology and also an important place that encourages the realization of innovative ideas in practice. The CNC equipment includes 3D printers, 3D scanners, laser cutting machines, CNC sewing and embroidery machines, CNC tabletop engraving machines, single-chip and mechatronics integrated modules, etc.
Macao Laboratory of Information Technology Application and Innovation
Located on the basement floor of Macao Science Center, the laboratory was awarded the "Macao Laboratory of Information Technology Application and Innovation" by China Electronics Corporation in September 2023. The laboratory has been installed with China Electronics equipment including domestic PKS chain products (Phytium CPU, Kylin OS and Security), Great Wall computers, three sets of Great Wall servers (application servers, computing servers and AI servers), and Dameng database. It is an important venue for learning about the application and innovation of information technology. In addition to providing basic courses such as hands-on computer assembly and network cabling, Macao Science Center cooperates with China Electronics and Huawei, the leading enterprises in the domestic information technology application and innovation industry, to provide students with information innovation courses, supporting software and hardware facilities, and educational programs on cybersecurity technology, covering themes such as IT infrastructure, basic software, application software, information security and artificial intelligence. In addition, the laboratory has been installed with an Altas 800 (Model 9000) AI server (using Kunpeng CPU and Ascend 910 NPU), a TaiShan server, a Kunpeng server, a Huawei AI developer kit, the KunTai Intelligent Training Platform, and the AIGC Case Study Platform. It can provide students with courses including hands-on assembly of computer mainframes and network cabling.
Member of the Chinese Alliance of Sci-Tech and Cultural Institutions
At the end of 2022, Macao Science Center joined the Chinese Alliance of Sci-Tech and Cultural Institutions, and is the first science and technology venue in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to be approved to join the Alliance.
National Scientist Spirit Education Base
In May 2022, Macao Science Center was listed in the first batch of Scientist Spirit Education Bases in China by the China Association for Science and Technology, and is the only science and technology venue in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to be listed as a National Science Popularization and Education Base at the same time.

In March 2022, Macao Science Center was included in the First List of Accredited National Science Popularization and Education Bases for 2021-2025 by the China Association for Science and Technology, and is the first science and technology venue in Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan to receive this honor.
Three-starred Certificate of Green Building Design Label
At the end of 2016, Macao Science Center was awarded the Three-starred Certificate of Green Building Design Label, the highest level of green building design certificate in China.
