    Introduction: This event is a fulldome lecture in the planetarium. Mr. Sirius Lei, director-general of Macao Astronomical Society, will introduce to the audience the Shaw Prize in Astronomy 2024 and its laureates, Shrinivas R Kulkarni. The significant contributions of the laureates to time-domain astronomy and the scientific significance of studying variable or transient astronomical objects such as millisecond pulsars, gamma-ray bursts, supernovae, etc., will be introduced in this fulldome lecture.
