Curator Sio Hon Pan Shares MSC Operation Experience at the Lecture of the Lingshan Forum

Dr. Sio Hon Pan, Curator of Macao Science Center (MSC), recently attended the 11th Lingshan Science Lectures and "Attractive and Innovation-driven Greater Bay Area" Mutual Learning between Guangdong and Macao (hereinafter referred to as the "Event"), in Nansha, Guangzhou, and shared his experience in MSC operation.

He delivered a speech titled Referential Meaning of Operation of Macao Science Center to the Permanent Venue for the Greater Bay Area Science Forum to share his experience with many experts in science popularization education, scholars, and representatives in science and technology innovation from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He hopes that MSC will constantly give play to its functional value as a "National Science Popularization and Education Base" and "National Scientist Spirit Education Base" and advantage as a member of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Science and Technology Museum Alliance to contribute to the deep integration of sci-tech innovation and industrial transformation and the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area. Besides Curator Sio Hon Pan, Du Chunlei, Curator of the Grandview Museum of Natural Science, and Ye Pan, Secretary General of the Guangzhou Municipal Research Institute of Marine Peak Carbon Emissions and Carbon Neutrality, were also invited to deliver speeches on the development and operating model of the science popularization industry as well as social organizations' efforts for science popularization, respectively.

The Event was jointly held by the GSF Secretariat, the Guangzhou Cooperative Development Center for Social Organizations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Guangzhou Nansha Guangdong-Macao Development Promotion Association, and the Development and Construction Administration Bureau of Mingzhuwan, Nansha New Area, Guangzhou City. It aimed to drive the high-quality construction and sustainable operations of the permanent venue for the Greater Bay Area Science Forum, strengthen sci-tech exchanges and innovation collaboration among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, develop the Greater Bay Area into an international innovation highland, and enhance the science popularization in the area.
