A Framework Agreement on Cooperation Signed between Macao Science Center and Zhejiang Museum of Natural History

Recently, a framework agreement on cooperation has been signed between Macao Science Center ("MSC") and Zhejiang Museum of Natural History in expectation to strengthen the exchange and cooperation between two institutions in science popularization, promote cross-region sharing of science popularization resources, and improve scientific literacy of the whole nation. Sio Hon Pan, a director and a member of the Executive Committee of Macao Science Center Limited as well as curator of the Center, and Yan Hongming, secretary of the Party Committee in and dean of Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, signed the framework agreement on cooperation on behalf of MSC and Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, respectively.

The signing ceremony was held at the conference room of Hangzhou Museum, Zhejiang Museum of Natural History. In the future, MSC and Zhejiang Museum of Natural History will make full use of their strengths and cooperate in development of popular science exhibitions and diversified high-quality science popularization and education activities, such as museum-school collaboration course, popular science video and digital product. In addition, they will join hands to carry out science popularization and education, publicize studies in relevant fields, and conduct exhibition item design, activity R&D and personnel training in expectation to advance science dissemination and development of popular science and culture together in Zhejiang and Macao.

The other representatives from both sides who attended the signing ceremony are: Yong Taihe and Yang Ling, two associate deans in Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, Oscar Leong, controller of MSC Education and Exhibits Department, Peng Yajun, director of Collection Management Department in Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, Yuan Leyang, director of Life Sciences Department in Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, Yu Bingyang, director of Security Department in Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, Cheong Kim Fong, head of MSC Facility Management and Sustainable Development Department, etc.
