The "Biodiversity Gallery" is jointly prepared by Macao Science Center, the Municipal Affairs Bureau, the Special Collection Unit of the University of Macau Library and Macao entomologist Danny Chi-Man Leong. There are a variety of biological and mineral specimens, a biological photography zone, an animal park and other multimedia interactive exhibits that integrate augmented reality technology. The concept of biodiversity, the origin, evolution and classification of biological organisms, the unique communication methods of insects, and endangered species and their conservation methods are introduced in detail. In addition, the gallery features a storytelling theater The Tree of Life: Charles Darwin in the hope of strengthening students' understanding of biodiversity and species unique to Macao, and raising public awareness of respect for life and environmental protection.
