Organized by Macao Science Center (MSC), and co-organized by Semia Limited and LEGO® Education, “Think Brick – Play and Learn with LEGO® Education” activity is held at Gallery 2 of the Exhibition Center starting from today until 14th January 2018. Presiding our opening ceremony today were officiating guests Mr. Tong Chi Kin, Vice-President of MSC, Mr. Steven Lei, Vice-President of MSC, Ms. Anna Law, Director of Semia Limited, Mr. Pan Sio, Curator of MSC, and Mr. Sylvester Cheong, Deputy Curator of MSC.
“Think Brick – Play and Learn with LEGO® Education” activity aims to promote STEAM (i.e., Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) educational concept, in order to encourage children and youths to put their creativity to work, cultivate scientific thinking, acquire comprehensive knowledge and develop the ability to solve problem. Other than the “Little Brick Kingdom” Fun Zone, and the Giant LEGO® Brick Wall which allow parents and children to enjoy the fun of building structures with LEGO® bricks, more than 30 mechanical models and a “Fun 3D Zoetrope”, designed and built by the MSC team, are showcased at the gallery..
In addition, the Center is holding the “Interactive Classrooms” providing a series of trial classes for children and teenagers who are interested to enroll on-site. Participants will learn the basic knowledge of physics and engineering through the process of building bricks, using LEGO® bricks to build a robot and programmed it, to make the robot complete a simple task according to your instruction, so as to enhance the interest of children and teenagers in learning scientific knowledge in various fields. Each of the trial classes cost MOP50. Visitors who purchase a LEGO® Education Learn to Learn set at the Center’s gift shop can join the LEGO® Education Learn to Learn trial class once for free.

To give our visitors a full experience around the theme of LEGO, the Planetarium is featuring a new animated program “The LEGO Movie The Experience”; audiences will join the LEGO superheroes to fight the evil. The LEGO Movie The Experience” is suitable for all ages, and admission is MOP30 for all categories. Furthermore, the Center shall launch a Photo Taking and Voting Activity at the MSC official Wechat account “mscmacao” from 15th July to 15th August, the top 10 photos that receive the highest number of votes will have a chance to win great prizes.
